Good morning!

I was never someone who could lay my head down and fall asleep right away at night. Nick on the other hand - fuget' uh-bout it! He is out within 5 minutes. Now that I'm an expecting mama, I can fall asleep BEFORE Nick, lol!! I love it! It's funny tho, because even tho my little bean is the size of a small shrimp right now, I get up a few times in the middle of the night to pee. Funny how that little effect of pregnancy kicks in right away.

After I posted my blog to you all yesterday, I got the WORST case of "All day sickness" (Morning sickness my ass). Last Wednesday I was getting those dry heaves all morning, so I called in sick at work. Knowing I couldn't just call in sick the rest of my 1st trimester, I called my doctor and told them the scenario. The prescribed me some medicine for the nausea. Que the heavenly choir, cause these bad boys WORK!!! At least until yesterday - I was just sitting at my desk at work, minding my own business when the biggest wave of nausea hit me. I had just taken a pill 1 hour before so it should still be in full effect, but this Godzilla of a nausea wave didn't care. I was doing yoga breaths, rain dances, ANYTHING to get rid of being my nausea. You know when you start sweating from nausea? Yup- I was sweating.

Today I'm feeling pretty good *knock on wood* and I haven't even had to take a nausea pill. I'm going to try and be as natural as possible with this pregnancy (the birth a different story - bring the epidural on!!). I'm going to Trader Joes this afternoon after work to pick up some produce cause I have non. Well take that back - I have tons of DEAD produce in my fridge from when the morning sickness originally set in. I was the girl who brought the salad EVERYDAY to work and ate super dooper healthy snacks! Now I'm a pb&j kinda girl with saltines and crackers. I can't even look at a salad without wanting to vomit. Although this weekend, carrot sticks sounded amazing to me, so I went for it. Today I packed myself a little bean and broccoli salad, so I'm proud of that. I just want to make sure that my baby gets the nutrients he or she needs and I try to limit the crap intake even tho carbs and frozen yogurt are the only things that sound appealing to me :)

Oh and workouts - since I can no live by Ms Jillians rule of "Unless you puke, faint or die, keep walking", I am breaking my workouts down. I am determined to continue working out. Everywhere I've read, doctors say how great working out can be for you during pregnancy (of course every woman should talk to her doctor about starting a workout routine). So here is my little break down -

Sunday: Walk outside
Monday: Off
Tuesday: 30 minutes cardio + upper body workout (I've modified the weight amount I use)
Wednesday: 30 minutes cardio + leg workout
Thursday: 30 minutes cardio + upper body workout
Friday: Off
Saturday: 30 minutes cardio + leg workout
