27 weeks - is that 3rd trimester?

So according to my iPregnancy app, I am on the 1st day of my 3rd trimester. Buuuuuut, I read on babycenter.com, that I'm not considered in my 3rd trimester until next week (28 weeks). Pregnancy math is a mo fo

So because I am lame and didn't take an updated belly pic, here are the pics of the finished paint job. It turned out so good, and I'm SOOO happy with it. I do need to get one small lamp in there to add just a smidge more lightning.

Notice the giant giraffe? Troy can thank his beautiful Gma K for that :)

He's gonna be such a great daddy

How far along? 27 Weeks {possibly in my 3rd trimester, woo hoo!}

Baby's size? Troy Maximus is about 2 lbs and is 14.5 inches head to toe- about the size of a cauliflower head

Weight Gain? 15lbs, but I'll update that number next Tuesday. It's always a fun (or bad) surprise when I don't weigh myself at home and then see the weight number after a month

Stretch marks? Nope. I was talking to my mom about this the other week since I've heard it's all chalked up to genetics -- if your mom got them, so will you. I was checking out her tummy and she has non to the naked eye. If you look reeeeal close you can see 1, maybe 2 tiny little white ones right under her belly button

Belly button in or out? That bad boy is getting more and more shallow. I'm wondering if it's gonna pop out at all. My Bestie Jenni's did not, but I think my baby will be bigger than her's were, she's a tiny little thing. My pregnancy belly button ring is still in, but I can see the skin is getting thinner where the bar is. IF I have to take it out, I plan on just keeping the bar bell with me at all times and poking it through every 30 minutes or so. I'M NOT LOSING IT!!

Sleep? This week, sleep was eh. Due to my cold and lack of being able to breathe through my nose, I tossed and turned a lot.

Foods I am loving? My decaf mocha's duh! I've switched to tall's instead of grande's. Due to the fact I'm notictng my thighs are getting grande.

Foods I am hating? hmmm, really greasy foods are not looking too good these days

Best moment this week? Having the room all painted!! Now we can put up the decals. His room is coming together and it's crazy to think in 13 weeks he'll be here!

Movement? Oh yes! Movement with rolling and kicking and tumbling. I will most def miss those. However, I've heard once his bones really start to harden, I won't miss those jabs and kicks :P

Symptoms? My eyes have been really dry lately. Not sure if that has to do with my cold or pregnancy. Oh and my boobs and stomach itch like crazy, but I haven't scratched like I wanted to in fear of causing stretch marks. I just lube up the body and pound some more water

Gender? A future football star

What I miss? Having a nice cocktail at the end of the day if I choose. Oh and sleeping on my stomach

What I'm looking forward to? My babymoon next week and my baby shower in about 6 weeks!

Weekly Wisdom: Sometimes, it's okay to put your feet up and take it easy. Your body is growing another life and if going to the gym EVERY DAY just doesn't sound appeasing, then relax. You've earned it!

Milestone: Room being painted

Emotions: Sleepiness, really gassy lately, and I think the constipation is back. I'm still going strong with my water drinking, but maybe I'll up it a little.

24 weeks and this weekend

Are you guys ready for the weekend!? Luckily for me, I'm having a 3 day weekend (taking my birthday on Monday!!) and it's a packed but fun weekend!

Saturday: I am running around like a mad woman! 1. Gym 1st thing in the morning 2. Running errands and trying to find a dress for my birthday dinner with Nicky poo. I seemed to have forgotten I had a huge belly that non of my sexy dresses I own will allow me to fit in. 3. Go to dinner with my stud muffin man!
Sunday: Football and family birthday party at my parentals. Every couple of months, we couple all the birthdays happening during the surrounding months. It's always a good time and good food!
Monday: 1. Wake up Nick and yell, "its my birthday!!!!!!!" 2. Hit the gym for a quick workout (this may or may not happen depending if I can go back to sleep after Nick leaves for work -- he's my personal teddy bear and I sleep like crap w/out him) 3. Break my fast with my sister and mamacita 4. Mani and pedi's with Bestie Jenni (aka Bon Bon!) So excited for this, my toes are looking pretty gnarly.
I hope you all have a packed and fun weekend planned! Go out there and live it up and have a drink for me!

Now, onto my baby update -- after all, this post wouldn't be complete w/out it!

How far along? 24 weeks

Baby's size? Mr. Troy Maximus is about the size of an ear of corn

Weight Gain? 15 lb's the entire pregnancy. I'm hoping I can keep my weight gain to 4lb's a month for the rest of pregnancy, but we shall see :)

Maternity clothes? YES!! I went to Motherhood Maternity with my MIL the other week and got some leggings I will be living in this winter and fall and some really cute tops.

Stretch marks? Nada *knock on wood* I got my prenatal massage yesterday and the massage therapist said that the EVOO I'm using is one of the best things since it has Vitamin E and other good fats in it to keep my skin elastic and healthy

Belly button in or out? Still in, but shallow.

Sleep? Well the past week I've been sleeping pretty soundly, but I still get up about 2 times a night to pee or shift which wakes me up

Foods I am loving? Pretty much everything except Chinese food. Poor Nick - he loves the stuff and I used to before pregnancy, but now, it's gross to me. I am still loving sweets! PB&J's are the best because it's the perfect carb/sweet ratio :)

Foods I am hating? Ground turkey, Chinese food

Best moment this week? Hearing that our little man is growing at a perfect rate & I only gained 4lb's this past month haha! I also just FEEL really good

Movement? Oh yes. He moves around quite a lot during the day while I'm at work. In fact, he is moving now :) I can't wait to see what those little movements exactly are! Is he stretching? Is he giving me a swift kick to the ovaries? Is he sucking his thumb?

Symptoms? Not much new, I feel really good still, my workouts are actually way easier than they were in the beginning of pregnancy. On my lunches I do the 30 minutes elliptical and on Friday and Saturdays I do 45 minutes of cardio (splitting between elliptical and treadmill on incline). I'm REALLY hoping I can keep this up till Troy shows up. People tease me I'll probably give birth at the gym, HA!

Gender? A little mister

What I miss? I was just talking to Nick about this - I do miss having a drink when I want. Not so I can get drunk or anything, but just the unwinding/relaxing feeling I get when I have a glass of wine on the couch in my sweats or a margarita while we're BBQing. Also....I MISS RUNNING TILL I'M DRIPPING!!!!!!!

What I'm looking forward to? Working on the nursery! Gosh, we really need to find a paint color ASAP!

Weekly Wisdom: Always have water bottle in my purse. I get thirsty in a matter of 30 seconds!!

Milestone: Getting to 24 weeks people! This is huge and I'm always halfway to 30 weeks!

Emotions: I'm way more sensitive. I watched Biggest Loser this week and bawled more than I normally do. Thankfully, I didn't have my makeup on yet :)

23 weeks, TGIF!

Who is ready for this weekend to start?! Meeeeee!!!!! So, let's get to my 23 week post shall we? I know it always sends you all into your weekend the right way ;)

How far along? 23 weeks, which means 14 weeks till I'm full term (and 14 weeks till XMAS eve!)

Baby's size? My little guy is a little over 1 lb and is over 11 inches long. He is the size of a large mango

Weight Gain? 11 lbs so far, but in 4 days I'll find out how many more lb's to add to that 11.

Maternity clothes? All maternity and now I got some great new threads to spiff up my wardrobe thanks to my mother in law

Stretch marks? Nope, still EVOOing it every night and keeping hydrated like a mo fo

Belly button in or out? Innie, but shallow

Sleep? Still the same as last week - I get woken up super easy and have a tough time going back to sleep, but the initial falling asleep and towards the end of the evening, I can fall asleep fast and sleep well

Foods I am loving? No favorite foods other than sweets. Hence why I'm making more pumpkin cookies tomorrow :)

Foods I am hating? Still can't do ground turkey, but everything else is sounding good to me

Best moment this week? Hmmm probably getting to meet my family for dinner mid week at BJ's brewery and getting this little baby for dessert. I know it's not baby related, but that was my best moment so far :)

Movement? Oh yes, and my little man's kicks are getting stronger. I can feel more rolls and thumps when I've been active and finally sit

Symptoms? Hunger!!! When I'm hungry and want to eat, don't talk to me, don't try to stop me making my bee line to the kitchen. You have been warned :)

Gender? A future Denver Bronco tight end..aka a little man!

What I miss? Being able to have beer, wine, and a margarita. Of course Mr. T is worth it

What I'm looking forward to? Painting! We got paint samples today, and I think we might have found the color. Nick has to put another coat on it to see how dark it's going to get, but I'm pretty sure we've found it. Oh, and since we're doing Troy's room in jungle theme, I'm thinking I want to get this decal for behind his crib

Weekly Wisdom: Things move really fast. Write down every little thought you want to remember, including going into detail on how you feel. Your 1st pregnancy only happens once and you will always want to remember how you felt.

Milestone: 6 months in just crazy to me! Also, my belly seems to have gotten way firmer than it was before. I cant wait to go over the ultrasound results with my OB and hear how big he's measuring. I sometimes worry he won't be big enough? I'm sure I'll be cursing I ever thought that thought when he comes out 10lbs!

Emotions: hungry and tired. Also excitement: FALL IS IN THE AIR!!!

Hump day= forgot phone & need starbucks!

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo yeah, I am tired. These past couple of days hubbster Nick-a-roo's mom and her boyfriend have been in town and it has made for a couple late nights. It's always great to see family especially since we haven't seen his mom in little over a year due to her living in Colorado, so it's always worth it. Pregnancy is no joke my friends. The sleepiness that you encounter (or at least I do) combined with a late night = MUCHO CAFFEINE NEEDED, but then it's like "oh wait, I can't have mucho caffeine". Oh and on top of that, I forgot my phone aka my life line! How am I supposed to give it my all on that elliptical on my lunch break?

Troy is moving like a maniac lately and I couldn't love it more. Every time I feel him move, I immediately put my hand on my stomach to feel. Not only that, but he seems to be taking full advantage of the room he has in my belly, as my stomach seems more firm and less squishy these past 2 days. Troy seems most active when I do cardio at the gym. Almost like he wants to workout with his mommy -- oh how I'm so proud *tear*. Speaking of workouts, I have been on a steady 5 day a week workout. I work out every day on my lunch break (on average 25 minutes on the elliptical) and then on Tuesdays, Wednesdays after work it's back to the gym (20 minutes cardio w/strength training) and of course Saturdays. From what other fitness mom's have told me, working out while pregnant pays off in the delivery room. Not only that, but it'll be so much easier to get back into the swing of things (and back into my express jeans) after he comes out. I'm an avid reader of Oxygen magazine (which my subscription is about to come to an end, sniff..sniff...sniff :( ), so I usually always get my workout plans from there. These past 2 months, their magazine has gotten me so amped up to get back into my heart pounding, exhausting, drop to the floor workouts. The women in these magazines exude strength, beauty, confidence, and health. Exactly where any woman would want to be, right? There is one picture in particular that I am going to be cutting out and will be hanging on my fridge after the little man is here. Karli's tip of the day: Well we haven't had much of that lately, have we? Visual motivation is a great way to reach your goals. Start by cutting out pictures of women you aspire to be like or pull out old photos of yourself when you were feeling your best. Place these visual motivations around your house, on your fridge, or even in your office at work. That way when you've had a long stressful day at work, you have something in your face reminding you "Hey, don't even think about skipping the gym today! You deserve 'you' time!" Same with pictures on the fridge. That little visual can tell you "HEY, maybe grab a string cheese or a low fat pudding cup instead of that gallon of ice cream".
Make it a great day beautiful readers!

22 weeks

Holy Toledo! Do I really only have 6 more weeks in my 2nd trimester? And do I really only have 15 more weeks until I'm considered full term? My full term date is on Christmas Eve by the way, so that means you and I better start thinking of Christmas gifts for everyone STAT or else all my last minute peeps will end up with Snuggies

Sorry for the no post yesterday, I really don't have an excuse. This weekend is going to be a major chillaxer since last weekend was the Santa Barbara getaway. We got the gym and grocery shopping on Saturday, and then football on Sunday (GO BRONCOS!) I am SO ready for an extra couple hours of sleep tho. Although I will say, Troy is preparing me for early mornings and lack of sleep. I am the lightest sleeper these days. When Nick so much as blinks his eyes, I wake up. And since Nick works Saturday mornings and gets up at our normal 4:30 am, I'm usually up and at em then too (thank GOD for DVR! The gym doesn't even open till 7 on Saturdays).

I will post a pic of my glorious round belly once I get home and I know I am horrible about posting pics, but I really will, PROMISE!! Along with my SB pics :)

This isn't Troy, but I thought it was cool to be able to see what a 22 week old baby looks like in 3D ultrasound

How far along? 22 Weeks!! I believe that puts me either at 6 months or a taaad under 6 months. Lemme just tell you, I feel fabulous either way

Baby's size? My little T is about 11 inches and is the size of a summer squash and weighs a smidge under 1 lb. YES- this is exciting that he's starting to gain some serious lb's

Weight Gain? Well according to my last appointment about 2.5 weeks ago, I have gained about 11lbs. BUT I have a feeling I'll have gained some more serious lb's when I weigh in on the 22nd (my next appointment). My maternity clothes I have gotten still fit the same though, just bigger in the mid section (let's keep it that way, shall we?) I think the gym is helping some

Maternity clothes? I can wear regular tight tank tops and stretchy long sleeves and of course all my maxi's, but I'm in all maternity bottoms from here on out

Stretch marks? Nope. *knock on wood*

Belly button in or out? I say by our babymoon trip to Denver in October, it'll be right at the surface. It's really shallow right now

Sleep? Love it and I can fall asleep faster than Paris Hilton and snag a new boyfriend, but once I'm awake, I'm awake.

Foods I am loving?
SWEETS!! I had the strongest craving for a raspberry turnover yesterday starting around 2 and didn't stop thinking about one till I fell asleep. I am still eating my coffee cup of coldstone every night :) It's a good thing I'm too lazy to drive to the grocery store and get donuts

Foods I am hating? I still can't eat ground turkey. I LIVED off of ground turkey pre pregnancy. I never bought red meat, but since I've been growing a boy, all he demands is red meat from his mama.

Best moment this week? Nick feeling Troy move. Nicks face was priceless and he had a smile from ear to ear and kept saying "that's crazy". A close tie to this would be when Nick and I SAW Troy move under my stomach. COOLEST/TRIPIEST thing ever! I can't wait till he gets super strong with those kicks

Movement? Oh yes! Its not constant, but normally I'll feel him move everyday throughout the day for a brief minute or 2.

Symptoms? Nada. Just want my pastries!

Gender? A LITTLE MAN!!

What I miss? Margaritas and wine, but I'd give up anything for my little guy

What I'm looking forward to? Getting his nursery all set up in October, and of course our trip to Denver. Oh and my bday on the 27th of this month!! Gonna take the day off to pamper myself and eat a buttload of pancakes haha!

Weekly Wisdom: Enjoy every second -- very wisdomly advice, right?

Milestone: over half way there!

Emotions: Happiness. Oh and weepy. I swear, I cry at the littlest things and things hurt my feelings way more than they should

Well its a...

So I know you are all dying to hear about what we're having. Is it a baby Olivia? or is it a baby Troy? hmmmm..... Before I reveal, lemme tell you about my appointment leading up to the big finale.

I was super paranoid about not drinking enough water. I heard from friends that if you don't drink enough water, they will send you home and you'd have to reschedule. Well, I was determined that wasn't happening to me. I had 'announcement' dinner plans, Nick and I were planning on going to Home Depot to look at paint samples, etc. There was just too many plans AFTER we found out, that I was not leaving that office without a boy or girl answer. The instructions they gave me before hand said to drink 16oz of water 1.5 hours before the appointment. So at 2pm, I emptied my bladder and started to refill it. I drink like a fish, so I thought it'd be no biggy if I just drank 32oz instead. Well...it was a biggy. I had to pee so bad by the time my appointment came around that once they called my name, I think I pee'd just a tad out of excitement. The ultrasound technician was super nice and when I mentioned how bad I had to pee, she said I could let it all out if I wanted and that she only needed a little bit in my bladder. Ummmmmm, do you KNOW how much water I drank so YOU people would have enough liquid in my bladder, and now you tell me "oh yeah, it's not a big deal, go empty it". It was as if they were playing a mean trick on me. So after I emptied my bladder I bit, it was to the room I went to meet the tech and Nick.

She squirted the goo on my belly (which is actually really warm and not cold like I thought), and away we went. She pointed out a few things: the brain, the spine, and the heart. The heart was SO amazing. How fast it was beating. We saw all 4 chambers, WOO HOO!! The spine looked really good, she measured the head, and the belly, and said everything looked normal. We got to see our baby for 30 minutes before she revealed to us what our baby bean was: boy or girl. I was PRETTY sure I saw the money shot earlier in the ultrasound, but I didn't wanna sound like a crazy terets patient and shout it out over and over. Well, I should have, because I would have been right... Without further ado, I would like to present........
........................................................................
...................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Our son, Troy Maximus

The money shot!

Profile - you can see the heart really good in this pic

Profile pic #2

I have a son!! When she freezed the camera on his parts, I knew it was a boy. Tears (of joy) immediately filled my eyes and I still get choked up when I think about it. I am going to have a little man! I hope to raise him to love and respect his mom and dad (and rest of his family), be a Denver Broncos fan (haha!), not be afraid to go for what he wants, be a gentleman to the ladies, and love God. As for Nick? I know he would love for him to a football nut just like him. Nick is so happy, but he says he already knew it was a boy, so it wasn't as big of a shock for him. He was wondering if maybe the fact that the entire pregnancy, he refered to the baby as 'he' and if that had any help in determining the sex. Who knows, but we have a son and I am on cloud nine!

It's so much more real now! My parents of course were thrilled! They already have 1 grandchild, my niecey poo, and now they will have a grandson.

OB appointment

Yesterday went very well as far as baby goes. The baby beans heart rate was 155, and everything was measuring good. My doctor even said that I'm carrying very well and I could get away with not looking pregnant for awhile. HAHA, maybe she missed the round shape protruding off my stomach? My weight gain? I've gained 7.2lbs! Now, I really don't think this is true. I didn't get to see the number on the scale when I stepped on since the assistant had it turned away from me, but that is just insane to me! I've been working out, haven't been eating as badly or as much as I could. I can't imagine if I hadn't been working out how much I'd gain! Good thing I'm keeping up the workouts till the doctor tells me I need to stop. I want to keep the jiggle to a minimum on those thighs, thank you very much!

I also learned I have to get my pediatrician picked out and get enrolled with him (I already know who I'm gonna go with :) ) as well as call and register for my birthing classes. I'm so glad my OB mentioned that it was MY responsibility because I thought I just sent in my money and wait for them to call me. January would have gotten here and I would have never learned how to breathe right, haha

The only 'boo hoo' of the appointment was I think my OB was in a bad mood yesterday. Even Nick mentioned how she didn't seem all friendly like she was the 1st time we met with her. I'm gonna give the lady a get outta jail free card, and say maybe she was having a bad day or something. As long as she's good with me in the delivery room, I'm good to go. The next appointment we have is next week (at a totally different office) to do the anatomy scan and gender reveal!!!!! Next Wednesday, I am going to be freaking the heck out. Its 7 days away ladies and gents! This mama is still thinking blue, but who knows, it could totally be a little girl, and in that case, I'll have tons of hand me downs for that princess to wear!

19 weeks -- better late than never

(This picture was caught at a bad moment, but I wanted to give you all a look to what my belly looks like as of yesterday)

I have been busier than Joe Francis during Springs break this weekend. Pics to come tomorrow, but I had a baby shower, birthday party, gym, grocery shopping, laundry and it goes on and on. Tuesday is our check up appointment, and then next week is the big appointment!! So lets get moving on my 19 week update shall we?

How big is the baby- The baby bean is about 8.5 ounces and 6 inches long. About the size of an heirloom tomato. *Side note: it sounds horrible since it was just compared to my child, but a giant tomato with some salt and pepper sounds mighty tasty right now*

Weight gain? I'll find out Tuesday how much weight I've gained since last month, but this belly is taking over my front side, so I'm sure it'll be at least a pound

Stretch Marks? Nope, still slathering on a combo of cocoa butter and Olive Oil in the evening, and just cocoa butter in the mornings. Also hydrating like a mo fo

Maternity Clothes? Oh yeah baby. I'm in maternity pants and shirts, but can still wear regular shirts. Since I'm a blonde, I thought that my maxi dresses would never not fit me. I mean, they stretch, right? Right, but uh, when something stretches forward, it gets tighter on my derriere'. Not the best look for a business casual work environment. Unless I am going to be standing on the corner, I have to do a few mirror checks before going to work in these babies.

Sleep? I could sleep 9-10 hours and be happy, but 11 would be even better. It can be a hit or miss though when it comes to falling back asleep after my 2nd pee of the night.

Best Moment of the Week? Had a really fun time seeing all my friends with their babies in one place at a baby shower yesterday. Makes me so excited to meet my little bean. It also made my week that my baby bean can now hear my heart beat as well as voices outside the belly. I'm going to start reading the belly Winnie the Pooh. Nick on the other hand doesn't think this new baby feature could come at a better time -- football season started and I am sentenced to the spot next to him on the couch for EVERY Broncos game so our baby can hear it.

Food Cravings? Ice Cream!! Still sweet stuff. Like Apple pie, mmmmmmm

Name? Olivia Karen or Troy Maximus. We find out next Wednesday!!!!

Movement? It's still here and there, I'm waiting for the monster kicks! Mark my words, I'll probably complain when I can't get sleep because of the kicks, but I'm ready. I want to be thrown off my balance from these kicks, haha

What I Miss? Not really anything. Of course I wish I could just whip up a margarita, but nothing compared to how much I am loving being pregnant at the moment.

Fun Fact? That chalky white stuff that you see on babies when they come out (vernix) is now forming. Gotta protect that delicate baby skin from turning into a prune for the next 18-22 weeks. Oh another fun but scary fact? I am halfway done with pregnancy #1, this blows my mind!

*This position looks like it is so uncomfortable*

15 weeks WOOT WOOT!

How far along? 15 Weeks baby

Baby's size? My baby bean is the size of an apple! What the heck?! How did the time go by so fast that I have an apple in my stomach now? He/she is about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces

Weight Gain? Um, I don't feel bigger anywhere else other than my belly now that I'm working out, but I have another appointment on Tuesday morning, so we shall see

Maternity clothes? I think I need more. I only have 1 pair of work pants that I can wear, but I'm still wearing maxi's on the weekends. Thank God for being preggo in Summer

Stretch marks? Nope and I constantly smell of olive oil and cocoa butter

Belly button in or out? still in, but after I eat big meals it does somethin funky and makes my belly button ring stick out hehe

Sleep? Love it and could do it 24/7 *thats what she said*

Foods I am loving? just about everything it seems. I feel like I'm constantly hungry too

Foods I am hating? Umm, red meat and chicken is still a challenge for me

Best moment this week? That I actually feel amazing. I was explaining it to Nick and I feel better than I do when I'm not pregnant....just tired. So happy the nausea is ova!

Movement? Pretty sure I felt some tickling feelings in my lower belly

Symptoms? exhaustion, but I'd take that over nausea any day.

Weekend recap and name change

So this weekend was filled with awesomeness! Saturday it broke down like this-water aerobics w/Bestie Jenni, lunch, babies r us, home and chillaxing. That swim class was actually a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I loved it! I was active and felt really good afterwards. They say water exercise is really good during pregnancy too.Sunday - BABY FURNITURE!!! It looks amazing and guess what? I took pics! Buuuuuut, while I was running out the door this morning, guess who didn't grab the flash drive for her memory card? ME!! So, you'll have to wait till I get home.

Seeing the baby furniture in the room makes everything that much more real. I drifted in there this morning to make sure it was all still there and this is actually happening. I've heard pregnant women say before that times flies, but is slow at the same time. So true! Time drags cause you want your little one to be here, but it flies cause before you know it, your already in your 2nd trimester and you have literally popped overnight! I took a picture this morning of me at 14 weeks and 3 days, and wow! I can't wait to show you guys the picture. I will warn you that I did just eat before I took the picture, but still -- there is no way my eggs and toast can produce a beast belly.

This weekend Nicky Boy and I were talking about names for our little bean. And yes, Olivia Karen is still the girl name, but for the boy name, things have changed a bit. Nick was telling me not too long ago he was a bit iffy on Liam. We both love the name and we might use it for our next one if it's a boy, buuuuut we're calling on another runner up we've liked for a long time: Troy. So ladies and gent's after much discussion, our son (if it's a boy) will be Troy Maximus. If your like me your 1st reaction is "WOAH! Troy Maximus? What is he a Roman solider or some sort of gladiator?" That was my concern, but you know what? I love it and Nick pointed out to me "You can never have a name that is "too strong"". Sure babe, whatever you say ;)

Let's talk baby nursery decor, shall we? Let me unveil the official baby nursery sets:

For an Olivia:

The pictures don't even do the bedding justice. The quilt is threaded with gold threads and the detail is just beautiful! I love the princess and dream theme with the decor on the walls, and I think I'd stick with that. It makes the 'princess' thing not so cheesy and tones it down a lot. Very elegant

For a Troy:

I've been set on a jungle type theme for a boy, and I think this would be the perfect set. Again, it's much cuter in person.

Hope everyone Monday's go by quick :)

14 weeks & pregnancy dreams

I am officially into my 2nd trimester!!! Today marks day 2 of the 3, and all I can say is thank GOD I made it! 2nd Trimester starts the weight gaining from what I hear - so bring on the hostess cupcakes and pasta! Kidding of course -- but only kinda kidding.
So pregnancy dreams -- I had the scariest pregnancy dream last night. Last week I had a lot of them where Nick was cheating on me. I'd find a plethora of pictures of girls that were saved onto the desktop of our computer and I confronted him and he'd be like "Yeah, so?" No remorse outta the guy. So those dreams of course sucked. But this dream last night was one like no other. Pretty much long story short: I went in for an ultrasound to find out the sex and there was this serpent like tail coming from between it's legs. In my dream, I for some reason thought this was totally normal and it must be a boy. The doctor thought it was bad, like any normal person would. Later that night, I ended up having cramping, and I gave birth to this huge toddler size baby, but it was too early for it to come out and it wasn't breathing. I was screaming at Nick to give it mouth to mouth, but he couldn't save it. I woke up from this horrible dream, felt my belly, and thanked God it was only a dream (from Hell!!).
So back to happy things, I'm 14 weeks today!! My baby bean -

How your baby's growing:
This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.

Check out this 3D ultrasound of a 14 week old baby

They also say my baby bean is now the size of lemon and just to blow your minds, here is a comparison to a quarter

How far along- 14 weeks

How big is the baby- He/she measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and weighs 1 1/2 ounces

Weight gain? Still not much that I can see. The belly size differs day to day

Stretch Marks? Belly is still looking good!

Maternity Clothes? Not really. Still wearing my maxi dresses! I did however buy my 1st pair of maternity pants for work and 1 pregnancy t shirt

Sleep? still like a baby. Although I have been waking up around 3:30AM, so that puts a damper on things

Best Moment of the Week? Getting in my scheduled workouts - WOO HOO! Gotta keep active

Food Cravings? Sweet tarts and any sort of sour candy is the choice this week. Also coldstone was the victim of choice :)

Name? well we aren't sure on the sex yet, but if it's a girl it will be Olivia Karen (middle name for my mom) and if it's a boy Liam Maximus

Movement? Not that I can feel yet :( but I tickle my belly and push on it constantly in hope I'll get a flutter or 2. I've heard this is the week I can start feeling tiny butterflies

What I Miss? SUSHI!!! Someone brought some for lunch at work, and I want some dang it!

Fun Fact? That nasty nausea phase is ova' & I get the baby furniture on Sunday!!!
