What is wrong with people?!

Now I know it's Friday and while Im STOKED for the weekend, I have some serious bizzzness we need to discuss.

 So Im assuming y'all have heard about the Aurora, Colorado movie theater shooting early this morning. If you haven't, a 24 year old guy named James Holmes, kicked in a movie theater exit door wearing a gas mask and released some sort of gas from canisters and then opened fire on the theater. As of right now there are 13 confirmed dead, 50 injured. In that number injured is a 3 month old baby! I was in the middle of running on the treadmill when I was seeing this story on the news, and I had to stop after I heard that. As a mother, or just a decent human being, my stomach flops at hearing a baby was injured. 

I don't get our world anymore or the people in it. Im gonna be real: People need Jesus. Im serious as a heart attack, this world is so broken. You can't go to a movie without fearing some idiot is going to pull something like this. Or you worry about someone being high off bath salts (or whatever that guy was on), and getting your face eaten off! Or as young ladies, we have to worry if someone might try to snatch us up & do God knows what to us. Or these mothers I hear about who had no business even owning a uterus! Only 1 man can save us. He DID save us, and 1 day, He will be back again. 

Please keep the people of Colorado in your prayers. Pray for the families of the victims and those fighting to make it through their injuries. 

Here and there

So in true Karli fasion, I'm gonna be random with this post with a few things that I have been following. Current events if you will -

1.

What do we think of this Mo fo? In my opinion - he DID kill Natalie Holloway and I hope her mother feels that justice has been served to him. We now know he killed that poor young Peruvian woman too and what was his reason? She barged into his personal life by going on his laptop while he made a run to the 7/11, and she found articles online about him regarding the Natalie Holloway murder and how he had been arrested twice. The young girl wanted to leave and slapped him, which he didn't like, so he killed her. And I'm sorry, but it's been 5 years and this guy has been accused (1 he admitted to killing) of killing 2 young girls with the same scenario - beautiful, out of town college age girls. He is just sick and where the heck is this kids parents? It makes total sense to me as to why they are having him wear a bullet proof vest - this kid has a lot of people upset.

And these two - yeah I know it's not evening news worthy, but I'm a celebrity gossip addict, so I can't help myself. Do you guys think they are really separating? To me, I think its all a publicity stunt. The fact that she went and filed legal separation papers tells me they know people weren't buying their "breaking up" story, so they had to take the next step. I think they will push things pretty far just to stay in the lime light. AND she's due to release a new TV show about how she's "single". Sounds like a separation/possible divorce is pretty good publicity to me.

Now onto the meat and potato's of this blog - ME :) Yesterday I was exhausted. I came home with the full intent of going to the gym with Nick. That.did.not.happen! We were both so tired, and this pregnancy thing really wears you out. We had been going to bed pretty late the past couple of nights, so I listened to my body and just lounged and got into bed at an early time. Oh so remember how yesterdays blog I was tell you all how I sleep so soundly? Well Nick told me this morning he notices I snore way more than I used to. Which makes sense, cause I think I've started sleeping with my mouth open. Funny all the little things pregnancy changes about your normal day and night routines. I'm gonna post some pics tomorrow or tonight to show you all my progress so far on the belly :) It's not much, just looks like I could use a few ab workouts and could lay off the Budweiser :)

Hi, its Karli, I'm not here right now, leave a message..

That is what everyone will be hearing on my VM today and tomorrow!! Wanna know why? This weekend N and I are going to Ukiah to see my Bestie since we were 4 years old and her fiancee!! I am sooooooooooooo beyond excited!! I am packed and ready to go! Just gotta eat some Greek yogurt and some kashi and we ready to go!! We have plans for some fun! So watch out Ukiah!! I will most def post pictures on Monday.

Speaking of Monday...I GOT A JOB!!! That interview I had the other day at the CPA firm, I got it!! I am officially a receptionist @ ________ and ________. HA HA!! So not going to make it public for safety reasons, but just know that little miss thang got a job!! I got called back for a 2nd interview on Thursday to meet with the owner, aka my new boss, and I guess I totally rocked it!! Fun thing is too, that they have dogs in there. And I don't mean little Paris Hilton dogs, I mean a Mastiff and German Shepard! I LOVE big dogs! I grew up with a Great Dane and I loved him so much that N and I plan on getting one when we get a house. I am SO excited for that!! They are so great with little kids and they just love their owners so much. Oh and while we are on the topic of dogs, get a load of this! A new mom and her husband were home with their 6 month old last Monday night and the woman fell asleep. Not a total biggy, right? Well they have a PIT BULL, and the pit bull chewed the 6 month olds TOES OFF!!! Now what the friggin eff?! That is the most discusting thing I have ever heard! Oh and p.s., guess where it was? Good ol' North Cackalacky! The couple didn't realize this till they changed their sons diaper the next morning! The woman apparently didn't hear the son's cries due to her "medication" she was on (I believe we call it crack), and slept through it. Ugh, so sad. I don't have a personal vendetta against pit bulls, but cmon people, they get bad press with these sort of stories. So sad. Now the babies foot could have to be amputated.
