Greetings from sunny California

We woke up on Monday morning to this

My parents yard/pasture

The Bunny Boo having fun with the doggies

The vegetable garden

While N had to go support his unemployed wife, I and most of the family spent that first day trying not to freeze to death and did a lot of this:

It was beautiful and such a big surprise. Surprised like all the men in America were when they learned that their beloved Megan Fox has toe's for thumbs

The snow made the roads ridiculous! The main road that my parent’s house is off of, looked like something out of a movie! Trees were down in the middle of the roads & bushes were just hanging off of power lines. I don't mean just little wispy tree's either. I mean hundreds of years old oak trees. So our power was out for a total of 2.5 days and I have to say thank God N and I have a gym with a shower cause we were gettin ripe! It was a lot of fun just having candles and everyone gathering around the fire for warmth, er I mean fun, and living like the pioneer's did. It made for an early bedtime since I couldn't watch The Hills or my new personal fav, Jersey Shore.
So ladies and gents, another year of brown hair is coming to an end. For some reason, the blonde in my hair pokes through the brown no matter how many times I go sit in the chair (and pull out the credit card), and my roots are starting to show now that I am OD'ing on prenatal and biotin. My hair grows FAST which is what I want, but my wallet and N are not as understanding to the monthly hair appointments. So, I will be seeing my hair magician sometime before this month ends to get a bajillion blonde highlights put all over my hair. N says he is ready for his blonde wifey again. He has decided that he likes me best blonde. He has a true appreciation for the California girl design: D

Another topic I would like to discuss with you peeps: working out! Since I am still unemployed, I will be making my fitness a first thing in the morning type of deal, like I did when we first got back to California. With the power being out and it being so cold and crazy on the roads these past couple of days, I only went for a short run and went to the gym once and ran a 5K and lifted some weights, so I am most def slacking. On top of eating take out most nights since we didn't have power. So the rest of my week will look like this:

Tomorrow- shred with Jillian in the morning & hit the gym for a nice 3 mile run after my INTERVIEW (Scroll down to the next paragraph to read about it)

Friday - I have nothing planned except getting things ready for Bestie since we were 4 years olds baby shower on Saturday. So I will be going to the gym for a 1 hour yoga class and doing a nice 1 mile run after. Then when I get home - SHRED!

Saturday - Run 3 miles outside before the baby shower so I don't feel guilty when I drink a few insanely delicious margaritas (yes, you read that right: margaritas (non for the mother to be) at a baby shower)

Sunday - A brisk 2 mile run prior to church and then......WE ARE GETTING OUR CHRISTMAS TREE!!!! SO SO SO SO EXCITED!! I have waited for this day all year!!

Now the interview?! you may be asking yourself? Yes, I have an interview with a promising company tomorrow at 10 am! If I get this job, N and I will most def be moving into our apartment & the benefits of this position will be way better than the benefits my previous job offered, so I am praying that I get this. Not only that, but its in a beautiful area AND it will only be 1 exit up the freeway from our apartment and since I am always looking forward, I yahoo! mapped it. It will be approximately 12 minutes from our house, boo ya! Prayers this way please :)

I will be sure to fill you all in on the job tomorrow lovelies

Could THIS be why the company I worked for laid me off?

Hmmm...... it explains a lot

SACRAMENTO, CA - A prominent Sacramento accountant and former IRS agent is under federal investigation for embezzling tax payments from his clients.

William R. Murray, 55, has been questioned by U.S. Treasury agents in connection with the disappearance of tax payments that had been deposited into his trust account, News10 has learned.

One victim was told by a federal investigator the losses totalled "a couple of million dollars." News10 has been unable to independently confirm the dollar amount and number of victims.

A victim who asked that her name not be used was near tears as she spoke to News10 in her kitchen. She showed a series of checks totalling more than $52,000 that she and her husband sent to Murray for 2008 and 2009 taxes that never made it to the IRS.

The couple did not receive delinquency notices from the IRS, she said. They only became aware that their taxes were unpaid when a Treasury agent knocked on the front door before Thanksgiving.

The woman said they are unable to make up the missing tax payments, which now include interest and penalties. "I'm in a lot of trouble," she acknowledged.

Murray was at one time a frequent guest on News10 Midday, offering tax tips to viewers. He is a partner in the Murray & Young accounting firm and is on the board of directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

A well-known financial planner who asked not to be identified told News10 he used to steer business to Murray, but more recently had been been advising clients to use a different accountant. "Something didn't smell right," the financial planner said.

Murray also owns a limousine company called Luxury Limousines of Sacramento. A driver at the company's garage told News10 there had been rumors that Murray was preparing to shut down the operation.

News10 tried contacting Murray at his accounting firm and saw him leave through a back door.

Murray's attorney Don Heller confirmed the investigation and said his client had been cooperating with federal agents.

"It's a great tragedy for everyone concerned," Heller said. "I really feel for the victims."

Heller said criminal charges would likely result in a restitution order, but that it was unclear how long it might take for Murray to pay back his victims.

I'm dreamin of a white...Christmas....just like the one's I've never known

Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?

Being the true Californian that I am, I have never had a white Christmas. N brags about them all the time, him being a Colorado native and all. I would love to wake up and see this outside my window

But I am going to have to settle for this

I don't mind it though- I just love that its Christmas!! And really its not settling cause I think its still gorgeous at my parents house on Christmas. Oh and the back room in my parents house where the other half, Tread Mill lives? It was calling my name and it was letting me know it was the winter season by welcoming me with a 50 degree hello. I finally started to warm up on mile 2 when I wanted to just call it good, when I started to think of the motivation I had when I started this little run. A picture I had seen of The Hills star herself, Ms. Kristin Cavallari:

True, there is no real definition to her, but I think her body is pretty attainable & I think she just represents the ultimate California girl (w/out the bitchy attitude)

On my day 2 of unemployment, I slept in till the wonderful peaceful hour of 9 am! It was SO nice. After I got the hubb's off and running to work to make me money so that I can relax and eat bon bon's all day while yelling at the crazies on Jerry Springer, I decided that I should eat something myself so I have enough fuel for the 4 mile run I had planned. While spacing out to E! True Hollywood Story of JLo, there was a Macy's commercial that got me SO excited for Christmas shopping! Having to slow down on my shopping and Christmas present buying is the worse part about being unemployed. True, I know Christmas is not about the presents, but still, getting presents is something I really enjoy & it gets me in the Christmas spirit. Our Christmas tree on Christmas morning has ALWAYS looked like something out of A White house Christmas story

And yes, we have to hire Clydesdales to cart our Christmas tree's

What do you all want for Christmas? Santa, I've been a really good girl this year. If you could just bring me some new black nike shox size 9.5, a new peacoat size M that looks like the one below (its at Gap, Santa :D ), and a new snowboarding jacket from North End (size L preferably a red and white color, but the green and white is nice too). Oh and since I am unemployed Santa, N just won't understand why I HAD to have Crest whitening strips, so that would be awfully nice too.

Big news, big changes

Today's work out consisted of 3.4 miles on my boyfriend, Tread and boy was it good to see him! I haven't seen him on a regular basis in a few months since I've been working and by the time I get home, I don't have time. BUT I have time now! Wanna know whyyy? I am now unemployed! EEEEK. Long story short, the company I worked for has to sell the company cause they weren't doing too well. Truthfully (since this is MY blog and after all its more of a diary, so why not keep it real witcha), My first intital reaction was to cry. However, after that first 2 seconds of shock wore off, I started to realize that out of all the people who work there, I am the most fortunate. I only had 8 people in my office, including myself, and I am the only who who isn't a single mother, isn't expecting a baby, isn't the main source of income for their family, and isn't responsible for paying a mortgage/rent. Its easy to look at the bad sad of things when things like this happen. Sure N and I won't be able to move into our apartment YET (but we will, don't you worry. That same complex too), but really I need to buck up and know that things could always be worse. On top of that, this blogger believes that EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON! Good or bad, there is always a reason and being the Christian that I am, I am trusting God has a plan for me people! Can I get an Amen?!?!?!

This up side of this is that I finally get to sleep in and thank God for that, because my body has been battling something like nothing before for the past 2 weeks. My bodies defense system is Chuck Norris and this bug is an enemy about to be broken down!

Oh and another amazing benefit for being unemployed? I get to run till my legs fall off when I feel inclined to run and workout. Today, I hit the rubber belt for a sweet and easy 3.4 miles! Yes people, I can wake up and take my sweet ass time and lounge until that running bug hits me and I can either choose between a session with Tread OR I can take my motivated butt to the gym! AH HA! Love the word: CHOOSE- You can bet your bottom dollar I'll be milking my unemployment until I find work. That's another thing- back to the craigslist, careerbuilder, monster, snagajob ads 24/7. Back to starting a new job and getting familiar with people again, BLAH! It'll be okay, things could always be worse right?

Time flies when your having fun

Umm why is it Sunday night already? It seems like I was just laying out my bib and running shoes for the Turkey Trot? Either way the last 4 days were as enjoyable as Gerad Butler's abs

Thursday was of course the Turkey Trot - I was up and at em' at the bright and early time of 7:30 since I had to be at the starting line 20 minutes before 9:00am. N was such a great sport about it. Being the die hard football fan that he is, I know it was hard to leave the bed at the time of morning on a day off, but also I know how upset he can get when football is on allllllllllll day and he can't watch every second of it live and rewind "did you see that?!" play's over and over again. Thank GOD for DVR! (I forgot to mention that in the "thankful" speech around the table!) So when N and I got there, it was PACKED! I have never seen any race like it. There were easily over 1000 people there which was touching since everyone who was there paid the $35 entry fee and that goes to a hungry family. I had my iphone loaded with my 5K running playlist and I even thought that running while taking pics would be a great way to distract myself and make time go by faster. Ummm, have you ever tried to snap a photo while feeling as though you are in Spain running with the bulls? It is hard!! So even though I wanted to bring you all a little more excitement than 1 photo, your just gonna have to deal. I was trying to beat a PR people!

So fast forward to the finish line: N was there which made me sprint my way across that finish line. I dunno what it is, but there is something about seeing that finish line that kicks you in the rear, and puts you into fast gear and you sprint until your legs feel as though they are going to disconnect. Since I really wasn't in the mood to stand around and browse the swag stands, N and I decided to go home so I could shower and take a nap before our big duck dinner. Once we got home, I was checking the website literally every 5 minutes to see if they had posted results. FINALLY they did, and what did I see?! MEEEEE!! I beat my personal record too!! When I crossed the finish line, N said he tried to time it and he thought I finished in 30minutes (my PR WAS 34:37 btw), but I couldn't believe it. BUT, guess what...HE WAS RIGHT!! That N is so smart- I finished the race in 31:11 AND I placed 54th out of 500girls! Not too shabby if I do say so myself. Even though I was dehydrated like a mo fo after the race, I still had N snap a pic of my sweaty self just for the blog :)

Saturday we FINALLY celebrated the big turkey day since my sister and bunny boo got back into town on Friday. So I woke up and watched my mom stuff the most delicious turkey ever! That woman sure knows how to stuff em' (That's what she said).

I decided to stuff something to my own liking into a little thing I like to call the oven. NOTE: THE OVEN WAS NOT ON DURING THE MAKING OF THIS PICTURE. I LOVE MY CAT SO DON'T GET YOUR PANTIES IN A KNOT.

Now the big news (as if it could get any better, sheeesh!), N and signed papers on an apartment!! We will be moving in either January 9th or 12th and we couldn't be more happy about it! It is so so so nice and we are so glad that we didn't sign papers with any of the other ones we looked and at believe me, we looked at them all. Amazing location, granite, some hardwoods, and it comes with a 37 inch flat screen for the bedroom (N's 55 inch will be going in the living room of course), wood burning fireplace and really nice grounds. We couldn't be happier. Home sweet home

I have been so excited about the holidays, I rushed to Petsmart and Target in search of the perfect Christmas outfit (and new holiday sweater) for my Daisy Mae- What do you think?

There was absolute bird madness going on in the house

That was my holiday. It was wonderful! It is now time however for the week to come to an end and this little lady to hit the gym once again. I haven't worked out since the run just out of pure laziness. I hope your holiday was great- I know mine was!

The holidays are amongst us

I am most def ready to eat some turkey, although my turkey day is going to have to wait until Saturday. My sister and Bunny Boo (my niece for those who are just joining us) are in North Carolina for Turkey day so Bunny Boo can see a horrible "man" whom she calls her father (all I'll say about that!). So since my mom and dad also just arrived home from their little getaway to their condo in Mexico, we thought it'd be best to wait until Saturday. So tomorrow we will be eating something less festive, BUT it is still a bird. What could it be?!

I'm claiming the beak!! Num num num! I'm just joshin, what kind of woman do you take me for?! The duck will be there, but the beaks will have been removed well before I dig in.

Prior to Ms. Carnivore here eating some deeelish duck, I will be participating in my 5K!! The day has come, the iphone is loaded with some pretty vivacious tune's that are guranteed to keep me moving for 35 minutes (thinkin positive). I went and stood in line for 20 miunutes after my holiday party at my bosses house and picked up my race packet complete with my bib, running chip, and the overpriced $35 hanes tshirt that I'm proudly gonna rock at the gym come Monday.

Oh and did I mention the gorgeous(AND FREEEEEEEEZING, and asthmatic's nightmare!) trail I get to enjoy while running?

I'll be sure to take pics on the trail. I won't be blogging tomorrow and barely any on Saturday (my REAL turkey day), but I will be back and I'll fill you in on everything from my run to the duck dinner and the black Friday sales I find!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving!!

Trottin my way to Thursday

Let's get Thursday here all ready. Its Thanksgiving and we all have the day off!! I have so much to be thankful for this year and yes I am going to name a few so get over it, this is my blog after all LoL! I am so thankful for my husband and how God has blessed me with such an understanding and loving man. I am thankful for being with my family and friends again and how God provided jobs for both N and I and quick at that. Yes ladies and gents God is good.

I am so ready for Thursday to get here. I didn't run this weekend and I didn't run today after work, BUT rest assured, that I WILL be getting my hott butt up at 5 AM tomorrow morning so that I can get 3 miles in before work and then I will be running after work and probably shredding it up with Ms. Jill too. So no worries :D Then Wednesday, I'll probably only do an easy 1 mile run so I don't burn myself out. If I run up to the day of a race, I am NOT wanting to run. I gotta baby myself. In fact a little bit of this looks great right now

And on that note, its time for beddy by and Twilight (the book) - total peer pressure
