And the winner is...

Congratulations Jenn!! Please email me your full name and address and I'll be sure to send off for your FREE Oxygen Magazine subscription for 1 year. Thank you everyone for participating and I'm hoping to do more giveaways in 2011!

Happy 1st day of 2011 everyone! Nick and I had a low key BBQ with some Mac n Cheese, I watched a fabulous selection of reality TV shows while he played his games on the computer, and we called it a night at the late time of 10:00pm. I'm chalking it up to pregnancy cause I was starting to get nausea's after awhile. Then my man has been pulling 12+ hours at work everyday this week, so we really wanted to just crash in bed. Sometimes those are the best anyways. I love laying in bed before we fall asleep and talking and laughing before we both are passed out mid sentences.
It's a cold and wet morning here in Sac Town, so we're staying in with our sweats, I plan on watching Sex and the City 2 (still haven't seen it!), and just kick back with our Starbucks

Things to come in 2011

So guess what? Tomorrow is a new year! 2010 was amazing - Nick and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary (yeah, I was 18 when we got married. He is such a cradle robber haha), we got pregnant shortly after, I got a new job at a successful energy consulting firm, Nick secured himself an amazing job at Apple (and is constantly climbing the corporate ladder. My man is good at what he does lol), we moved into our new 2 bedroom apartment to make room for our little man, and now we are getting ready to welcome our son into our lives! So what is 2011 going to bring? Hopefully:

* an easy/healthy labor and delivery of our little Troy Maximus. He could come any.day.now, EEEK! I'm finishing that hospital bag today and getting it in the car. Enough procrastinating, Karli!

* Learning/adjusting to a baby and lack of sleep and getting a routine for the little mister. Oh and settling into the roll of "mommy" and balancing life.

* Starting "Operation: Get Karli's body back" which will be a new challenge with a new baby and fitting in: lifting and cardio, eating right w/out screwing up my milk supply, and getting back into running. I used to run at least 3 miles a day before pregnancy - hopefully my body remembers how to run haha. I want to get back down to my pre pregnancy weight minus 3 lbs. I was most happy with my body before I got pregnant, so I want to get back there so I can be a good mommy. When mommy is happy, I can be a good mama, and good wife. So important to take care of myself and not lose myself. I got the new Jillian Michaels DVD, Shred it with Weights and of course the stand by, 30 day shred, to help me when I don't have to time to get out to the gym or just to squeeze in a quick workout.

* Training for my 1st ever marathon at the end of 2011. On top of that, I am throwing in some half marathons in my training, as well as a few 10K's. Thank you mom and dad for the new jogging stroller - Troy will be raised in that thing haha

* Adjusting to a 1 income household - I will be sharing all my tips on money saving recipes that I come across as well as other ways to save money.

* Heading to Mexico to my lovely parents condo for a getaway with the fam and little man and hubbs. PLEASE LORD LET ME HAVE SOMEWHAT OF A BIKINI READY BODY BY THEN - approximately 4 months after Troy is born, EEEK, it'll be a challenge!

* Walking down the aisle as a bridesmaid to celebrate Bestie since we were 4 years old (Lisa!!) wedding and watching her marry the man of her dreams.

* Continue blogging of course!! I cannot wait to share my new life experiences with you all!! Be expecting a new updated fresh blog layout/design sometime in the next month - new year, new look, right? Gotta keep it fresh!

What is 2011 bringing for you guys? Do you guys ever make resolutions? Are you ready for the new year? Don't forget to enter my giveaway, you only have about 12 more hours to enter, hurry hurry hurry!!! Click HERE

Happy Winter

I can't believe it is already Winter 2010! I am so bummed I missed the eclipse last night. I heard it was killer. Or how about the fact that Christmas is in 3 days! Well, today is pretty much over, so it's safe to say it's in 3 days and not 4. I am so ready for a nice long weekend - I get a nice long 4 day weekend, woo hoo! I plan on eating, visiting, laughing, and being Merry.

I got this idea from Run for the Bikini's page. I've been so thankful (and ecstatic!) that I have just about 100 followers, and am thrilled I have that many people that will read my lame jokes and workout (and now baby) updates. So what will 2011 bring you may ask? Pretty exciting things -

* My journey as a young new mama and the challenges I will face (Please God, I hope I don't have THAT many challenges). I am sure I will be MIA for the first week or two once Troy Maximus is born, but I promise to update as much as I can. Even if that's with 1 hand during midnight feedings. This includes keeping my relationship with the hubbs fun and exciting (Sounds challenging with a new born, no?)

*My journey back into my regular body, ha! Now this will be the entertaining part for you all. Me finding time in a busy newborns schedule to get my "me" time, even if that means if I pop in a quick 30 minute Jillian Michaels dvd while he's napping (if I'm not napping, cleaning, eating LOL).

* MORE WORKOUT TIPS! Before pregnancy, I had more "Karli's tip of the day" with workout tips. I will be including professional tips as well as putting those tips to use. I am planning on my "Operation MILF" body starting with Oxygen magazines month to month plan. <----- this could not have come at a better time. Oxygen magazine has the best plans that I've had great luck with in the past (No, I'm not being paid or bribed (for the right price though...) to say this).

* My training to run my 1st full marathon at the end of 2011. I STILL can't believe I told the crazy women in my family I'd do this with them. I'll be able to flaunt that famous "26.2" sticker on the back of my car.

* More random goodness especially when those silly celebs do something crazy.
