Drum roll please

So this weekend I've done pretty good workout wise and eating wise. I also took away a tip from one of Jillian's "trainer tips" on The Biggest Loser. I'm not sure if it was this week's episode or last week, BUUUUT, she said with eating, to do this: buckle down really hard on eating for 3 days a week, then loosen up for 2 days, then for 1 day be moderate, and the last day, treat yourself (this does NOT mean a junk DAY...a junk MEAL okay). So, I'm going to stick to that philosophy for a bit. Also, my X Bike class routine for Monday's start this week. Last week, I didn't only because I was still crazy sore from the 10K on Sunday. So eating, it'll be mainly focused on protein. Oh and I bought these goodies from Target. I LOVE Luna bars and these one have protein, so I'm thinking this is a MUCH better option for dessert. It ll be this or a protein shake for dessert ladies and gents.

I got the Cookie Dough and they are DELICIOUS!! They are 180 calories, but with 12 grams of protein. That's what I'm talkin about Willis! *NOTE: CLIF BAR & COMPANY, DID NOT SEND ME PRODUCTS TO REVIEW, THIS WAS BASED ON MY OWN CURIOSITY ON HOW THEY TASTE*

This weekend, I've been really good to, spending my mornings with this little gem

with the hopes of looking like this

You gotta admit, Jillian knows how to push you, and look at HER! I trust the girl to make me presentable in this come summer. Yes, I switched bikini's, and this is the one I am getting:

Same color and all....pink is my signature color

Also, Nick and I are most likely going to Mexico with my parents to their condo in November, and I plan in being in it 90% of the time.

Black Team all the way!

I got so choked up! My girl Ashley (an original pink team member), lost 10 lbs this week and carried the black team to the winning corner! The odds were against them and BAM! Team Jillian all the way, and she couldn't have said it better, when she said that the black team won because they got heart! They want it, bad!! I could not be happier! I am also pro black team, and this is why! They are ALWAYS the underdogs, and they always show strength and heart! Ah, what an inspiring way to start my morning. Michael thought he was sooooo smug picking the teams the way he did, which btw irritated me. It was SO game play, and he was right when he said "he's gotta look out for himself", it's still a WAY unfair advantage...or is it? Ashley just threw that all in his face with a whopping 10 lb loss!!

Whenever you think the odds are against you, your probably right, but don't you dare give up! Don't let the doubters win, and stick to your guns. Your going to have ups and you are sure as heck going to have some downs, but not to sound like Miley Cyrus, but it's not about getting to the other side, it's the climb and what you learn and take away during that climb.

Get in a rut? Switch things up- there are SO many resources (magazines, website, DVD's), that are sure to throw you a curve ball and are actually fun to do? Imagine that...a FUN exercise? Maybe even look into getting a session with a personal trainer. Most gyms offer a free session with a pt, and if you don't keep at it with that trainer, at least you walk away with some knowledge and experience with exercises/machines that you may have not ever known/used before. The beautiful thing about this life, is each day is NEW day- it's okay when you stumble, because you can get your balance back, and tomorrow is a brand.spankin.new.day!

YOU ARE WORTH IT- YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

Jillian is NEVER wrong

I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry. Who watched Biggest Loser last night? The Christmas colors are getting on my nerves! First up, green team- listen ladies- get over your "hardcore, I'm so strong, I take everything personally, all high and mighty" attitudes! Okay, so you had to get a 2 lb disadvantage, but guess what? SOMEONE HAD TO GET IT! IT'S NOT PERSONAL! IF YOU THINK YOUR SO STRONG AND CAN DO ANYTHING, THEN THIS SHOULDN'T BOTHER YOU! Ugh, I swear- even last week when the daughter was all frustrated when Jillian was all up in her face and wanted to leave, it made me mad. Jillian was telling her how if she doesn't shape up (literally!), her daughter will end up just like her and she didn't like to hear that one bit, but it's true and c'mon anyone who watches the show, knows Jillian's M.O. is to get into people's heads and break you down (to only build you back up again). Don't even get me started on their bitter betty attitude's when they fell below the yellow line.
Now, red team wife- GIVE ME A BREAK! Who do you think you are? How long has Jillian been doing this? Oh yeah, that's right, 18 years! You should know this because she told you when you were trying to convince her with your fake tears that you didn't throw the weigh in's (when you just so happened had immunity...hmmm...conincidence?)Then her husband get's his panties in a bunch when he's backin up his wife, telling Jillian how his wife is NOT a liar and how Jillian hurt her and blah blah blah. Oh and isn't it funny how Jillian was RIGHT when she predicted the wife would "miraculously" lose a huge amount this week (due to her -1's she's been pulling while she was throwing the weigh in's)?! 11 lb's the red woman lost and many "I can't believe it's" later, the green team is up for elimination, mua ha ha! Sorry, I know I sound insensitive, I just don't have sympathy for sore losers or people who play the game and then lie about it.

PS: I had my own little victory today- ROCKED it at the gym this morning with a sweaty 3 mile run (I ran 2 miles straight!!!) and heavy lifting with the legs! My legs are soooooo wobbly. Have no idea how I'm getting down the apartment stairs. Have an amazing day lovelies! Remember, YOUR worth it!

So what did ya think?

I LUUURVED it! It was a night of tears and laughs for me. The tears came when each team explained why they are as big as they are & how sad they are. Then of course NBC plays the same music they played when Bambi's mother died, and it's the waterworks for me. Thank God I recorded it, because right at about 55 seconds, my favorite part of the night happened. Bob said "RAWR". HA HA- now I apologize for those who do not know my "STRAIGHT" (Thank you to my friend Alicia for correcting me) personal trainer, Bob. But when that man's say's "rawr", it is hilarious! I even had to show N when he came home from work what my little Roberto said. N seemed as enthused to watch it as Kirstie Alley is to get back into her Jenny Craig contract.

My favorite team is the pink and orange team. That mama Cheryl on orange team is cuh-razy when she gets going in the gym. She had a lot of aggression and I'm pretty sure it had to do with her son's white man fro.

Picture from here

Pink team is my other fav, cause duh, pink is my favorite color. I am pretty disappointed that the brown team lost last night because they are one of the biggest couples The Biggest Loser has had. BUT James, the one of the 2 guys in the team who went home, has lost 100 pounds since he's been home, so snaps to you James!

Like I said watching the new seasons of The Biggest Loser always kicks my butt into high gear, and this season is no different. I went to the gym last night and ran 2 miles and I so badly wanted to run 3, but thanks to my cold I thought I was over, I coughed up a lung and wasn't able to do another mile on just 1 lung. I am planning on turning in early though so I can revisit my boyfriend tomorrow morning (Tread Mill for those new readers), yay!! I'm feeling a 3 miler comin on. I HAVE to start training for that 10K coming in Spring too, EEEK!! A 10k is the next logical choice since I've had a few 5K's, but still-TEN KAY! WHEW! I know I can do it- I didn't think I could do my 5K, and I've done 3! I encourage anyone who is looking to challenge themselves and to give themselves a goal to complete one. Training for one is a great way to keep your endurance up throughout the lazy winter months too. Try one, you can do it :)

Inspirations

Lets talk inspirational people, shall we? The Biggest Loser starts this Tuesday!! I cannot wait!! Repeat: Cannot wait! I LOVE The Biggest Loser and if anything, it keeps my butt in gear all winter long. Just for reference, let me share with you my own biggest loser transformation

Before (Me in High School)

And After (about 1.5 months ago)

I can't believe I just shared my before picture with the whole world, but I want to keep my blog honest so I had to do it. I lost 30 pounds (most of it in 2009), by submerging myself in the world of fitness and nutrition. I am obsessed with it. I counted calories thanks to sparkpeople and had a wonderful support system on it (as well as N and my family and friends-everyone was always very supportive). I lived in the gym and became one of "those" people you look at with disgust because they are dripping every pound on that treadmill and pushing myself so hard on the weight machines.

I heart Biggest Loser SO much that I enlisted myself into the Jillian and Bob boot camp that takes place in my living room or temporary hotel room (see previous posts in July). I am a big believer in the 30 day shred and it will be my go to quick 30 minute DVD when I don't want to make it to the gym. Plus just looking at Jillian is enough motivation to keep my butt moving

Although mostly on the Biggest Loser (and in my mind when I'm running on the treadmill), I see her like this

And lets not forget the wonderful gay deliciousness that is Bob Harper

Now in my living room, I have access to both of these trainers, BUT if I were to go on The Biggest Loser, I'd want Jillian. Bottom Line, Jill wins. All of her contestants have won the money and lost the most weight at the finale of the show. PLUS, I would feel like I could get away with more if I had softy Bob. Bob that gay guy you have over for sleep overs and laugh all night and wake up and he leads you through a killer yoga session followed by a pedicure at the salon. Non the less, these 2 trainers KNOW fitness and what it takes to get YOU in shape. N was MAYJA inspired by the transformations, and he's a tough cookie! I'll let these pics marinate in your mind tonight before you reach for that bowl of ice cream or that last piece of holiday pie

What have you done today to make you feel proud?!

That's right: BIGGEST LOSER IS ON TONIGHT! I am watching as I type! Can't you just feel the motivation streaming across your computer screen?! I figured I most def needed to log in and update you all on the happenings. I have been running for my life! I don't know why 3.1 meazly miles scare me? I mean I am a personal trainer and I used to run 3.5 miles every day. Been there, got the tshirt, ya know what I mean? Doesn't change the fact that my gym membership is getting used more than Paris Hilton's credit card. I love it though! It makes ME so proud to know that if I have done nothing else, I have conquered 2-3 miles (depending on what I decide to run) and no one can take that away. On the way to the gym, I try to talk myself out of it. I tell myself, no Karli, you can totally just go home and do a dvd or go run on your BF Tread Mill later tonight. I never would follow through so thankfully my logical side wins :D I get on that treadmill and pump out mile after mile imagining Jillian Michaels herself sitting ontop of that treadmill screaming at me to PUSH! and to FIGHT FOR IT! Or my favorite quote from last season "Unless you puke, faint, or die, KEEP RUNNING!!" MUA HA HA!!! She is so awesome!

She works hard for the money...

Hello bloggies :) So tomorrow is the day! My 1st day at my last job *thinking really positive*!!! I am so excited! This will be the job that I will be in until N and I start a family and I then go into my new position of being a stay at home mommy and wife (REALLY looking forward to it!)

I have no clue as to what I am going to wear yet, but I promise to fill you in with the outfit as well as how the day went. My office manager said tomorrow is basically filling out a bunch of paper work and then start training on the phones and shadowing her on how she talks to customers and how to handle situations. EEK!! So excited!! Then after I sort of get the hang of the commute, I can start going to the gym in the AM :)

Speaking of the gym, I didn't go today like I wanted :( I had to talk to Dell's customer service and was on the phone for 1 hour and 46 minutes trying to track down our repaired lap top!! By that time I lost my motivation for working out and since it was a dark cold day, I decided to go home and enjoy the weather :)

Is anyone else enjoying the football season?! N and I have been all about it this season (mostly N since I have to admit, I've been slacking on watching..BAD Karli!)

Have a great Tuesday people! OOOOO and I almost forgot, The Biggest Loser starts tomorrow. PLEASE watch it! You WILL get inspired and its so touching to see these people go through the struggles that they do. It will motivate you to add that 1 extra lap around the block or get the grilled chicken salad instead of the fried.
