Did You Think I Wouldn't Talk About It?

Thank y'all for all your recommendations on the fabulous Jessica Simpson cowgirl boot. You all are telling me I MUST get this boot and you love your pair and their worth every little grey hair you get from an Ebay bidding war. Im hearing you loud and clear girls, I WILL get these boots. I'm giving the hubs until Mothers Day to hook a sista' up, BUUUUT I might just have to ask him if he's planning on getting them and give the jig up cause if he isn't, Im buying the ones I saw before someone else does. Plus I don't know if you ladies remember, but Im doing a Boudoir photo shoot sometime in April/May. Whenever the weather and my body is ready. I'm trying to be really good, but Im such a muncher it's terrible. I make it sound way worse than it is, but like say I make Troy some chicken nuggets - I will pop 1 extra in there for me. Or say I make him a grilled cheese, I eat the crust that he will not touch. So yeah, someone, meaning ME, needs to stop that if I want to look smoking in this sorta photo:
and of course its almost the season for this LITTLE number...and I do mean little....

Another thing we shall discuss here and you girls who have no interest in football, can feel free to check out now cause its coming: Tim freaking Tebow.

I am a Bronco fan by marriage. Nick was a Bronco fan, so it only came natural. I wanted to support my mans cause and rock the same matching jersey's come Sunday. Since Tim Tebow was drafted, I cannot tell you all how excited I was. I mean, I loved the man from day one. When I say, LOVED THE MAN, Im not lying. Ask my husband....it's the real deal. I love his passion for his faith, I think he has potential to become a phenomenal QB, and he's easy on the eyes. Okay so it was headlining news that the Broncos signed Peyton Manning as QB and that meant Timmy T was going to be traded to who we now know is the New York Jets (You Jet fans are sooooo lucky).
This is my argument to Nick who tries to tell me this is GREAT for the Denver Broncos and this is a game/business.....Im well aware its a business and Peyton Manning is a hall of famer QB & with him the Broncos are going to win (hopefully). However, John Elway (former big star QB for Broncos years ago and now a manager for the team) has NEVER been behind Tim Tebow IMO. When he would beat around the bush last year saying that "Tim has potential" or "Im looking forward to seeing what he looks like in training camp" blah blah blah? I don't buy it Mr. Elway! You couldn't wait to get rid of Tim Tebow because:
1. He isn't your typical QB. He is a QB that will make the touchdown himself if he has to and he's WAY more physical than what his position requires. (Something I of course like haha). So that made John nervous
2. He completed 50% of passes or something like that. I know that sounds bad, BUT - he is still technically a rookie. He started for most all of the games last year and that is as far as his Bronco career has gone. IMO, he did ok considering the fact it was his 1st season starting in NFL games. With the NFL lockout before last years season, he didn't have a chance to work with trainers/coaches/etc. Give him a chance and work with the kid! Its not fair to bail on him when you haven't worked with him. Well obviously Johnny boy wasn't interested in working with him since Tim is considered a project.
3. We all know your a hall of fame QB, John, so it makes total sense you wanted a (one day) hall of fame QB like Peyton Manning. To me, its like your reliving your glory days via Peyton Manning. If John Elway actually believed in Tim Tebow, he wouldn't have traded him and had Peyton Manning mentor Tim Tebow. But he didn't. which is SOOOOO lame because Tim Tebow brought the Denver Broncos WAY more attention than they've had in YEARS. Just sayin.

END RANT.......

Trick or Treats

Happy Halloween my lovely readers! This weekend is going by slendidly. Yesterday Nick ended up having to work for a couple of hours (boo!), but we got our paw decals up in little T's room and got the safety lock on his window. His window is proteceted by this half wall thing from outside, but a bad guy could still have access to his room. So mommy and daddy felt safer knowing that window could only be unlocked from the inside.

Ta-da!

Getting the layout down

The rest of the day consisted of a delicious bfast with my sister and bunny boo and Nick of course, Home Depot (which Nick informred me is more geared towards women and Lowes is for men? News to me), and then Target & grocery shopping. I deserve a real spanking because I didn't go to the gym once this weekend, GASP! But, tonight I plan on walking around the neighborhoods as we go trick or treating with my niece (aka the Bunny Boo to new readers). So Im sure I'll cover some mileage..while eating my 6 little fun sized butterfingers...yes, you better believe I have them in my purse as I type ready to go!
Since we're on the topic of Halloween and trick or treating, I have a fabulous idea for next year with Troy. Of course he will only be 10 months and wont be walking up to people's doors, but we still plan on walking around with my niece again and Nick and I will go out with friends for our own festivities. This is my idea - me as a sexy Alice from Wonderland or a Queen of hearts, Nick as the Mad Hatter, and Troy as the little white rabbit!!! It's bound to be cold that night like every year, so Troy will be all bundled.

I'm still trying to find a little white rabbit custome witout a bunch of pink on it <----- No pink according to Nick haha. Since I wont end my night with a pillow case full of candy, I am giving myself a different kinda treat...... droooool
Oh Vera Wang, how you tease me. These babies can be found at Kohls. They are over the knee and would make me feel like I could put on a cape and show Batman a thing or two

When mommy and daddy DO get a date night, this would be such a fun dress!

I want her hair and closet dang it!

Pretty much everything Lauren Conrad puts out, I want. Thankfully for us non celebrities, she makes clothes I can afford and sold at Kohls.

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Le Sigh

So I stalk skinny runner's blog. This girl cracks me up, and she motivates the HECK outta me to run even when I don't wanna. So ever since I saw her carrying this purse, I have been secretly dreaming about it ever since. I have NEVER been one to drop major $$ on a purse, but when I have a purse I love, I use it for a long time. My birthday is in September, and yes I know that's 4 months away, but after thinking about it for a couple months (I know, I'm crazy for thinking about my bday 9 months before), I have found that THIS Kate Spade purse is what I want. Not only that, but I have found a couple promotional codes, that takes $73 off this purse AND their offering free ground shipping. So the purse comes to $292 with all the fees, originally $325. Since Skinny Runner can do no wrong in my eyes, I am copying her to a 'T' with the color I want - the red :)

This is such a classic purse and it's one that I'd keep and love forever :) (think about it mama :) )

Onto workouts, you know..the important things in life. So yesterday Nick opted to stay home from the gym, but I forged ahead. I took full advantage of my gym time and decided to try something new - the stair stepper. Different from the stair master, the stair stepper is actually climbing stairs. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF CHANGING YOUR ROUTINE. Holy moly, my legs were on fiya! I did only 15 minutes (75 floors!!!), and then it was onto legs. My little black shorts are burned in my mind, and I was pushing hard my friends. I had my own little last chance workout in the gym, sans Jillian and Bob. Today Nick and I are back to the gym and it'll be back on that stair stepper torture device, and abs, back and triceps. I'm just a tad short of this (*insert sarcasm here*)

so you can see my reasoning in wanting to continue to work them till they pop.

"C'mon Bambi, you can do it!"

Happy Hump day!! Thank the good Lord above, because I am READY for this weekend. After seeing what this weekend is looking like weather wise....WHEW! I'm ready for it to get here. It can rain all it wants during the week (my flowers will love it!), but bring the sunshine on for the weekend. I have lost probably 10-15lbs. since last summer, and it has seriously made a difference on how I look at the hottest season. I am actually for the 1st time going to attempt shorts! Short jean cutoffs are in season this year, and I am actually confident in my legs that I can rock em'. Once Nick gets this new job (he will, I'm confident!), I'm going on a little shopping trip to get some new clothes. I will be putting some SERIOUS money into those Forever 21 cash registers....maybe Victoria's Secret too.....and maybe Arden B....possibly H&M...possibly Marshalls.....

*Le Sigh...*

Last night Nicky boy and I went to the gym and he didn't wanna go.at.ALL. I can totally understand cause to be honest, when I get home from work, I just want to lay on the bed and not move. BUT, things must get done, such as getting bodies ready to be scantily clad in bikini's (shorts for him, duh!), for Mexico AND the Summer. Cause there are ALWAYS those BBQ's at friends houses or family get togethers, where there is a pool involved. And this Summer, I plan on soaking up some sun in : Tahoe, The Diego (aka San Diego), and I'd love to go to Santa Cruz. This girl has high hopes :) So anywhooo, Nick really didn't want to go, but guess what? After working that boy out, he was a new man! *insert harps and angels here* He even said he thinks he coulda worked out harder than he did. I can see a change in my man :) I was so proud of him! And remember how I told you all that I found that XBIKE class for Wednesdays (TODAY!!)? WElllll since the beloved NFL Draft starts tomorrow, Nick wants to go to the gym tonight, so I think this Wednesday, it'll be a workout (lower body + 3 miler run). WOO HOO!

Talk to you later lovely readers. I hope your Hump day starts off GREAT! (maybe with a hump, hahaha!)

My day of rest

So workout today was a dud lady and gents. My body was obviously telling me that Thursday was not soon enough for a 'rest' day and it had to happen ASAP! I was just so tired that I snoozed for another hour.

I'm actually having a hard time with it. This usually happens when I get on a roll with workouts. It's stupid, but I feel like if I don't do SOMETHING that I'm going to all of a sudden, balloon up and lose all my definition in the matter of 24 hours. No kidding, I looked myself in the mirror and said "Karli, it's ooookay, calm down. It's OKAY to rest. Your body needs it to change". So yeah, there ya go- today's my rest day-muy bueno.

It's brilliant of me to take today off though because I was looking at my workout schedule and I'm scheduled to run 3.5 miles and pump up those legs with weights tomorrow. I am going to need mucho rest, because I plan on running the whooooole entire 3.5 miles! Oh and PS- my workout from Oxygen magazine is working! I can see definition EVERYWHERE! I kid you not- my back, my arms, my chest, my abs, my legs (hamstrings especially) are getting better looking as the workouts go on and I would most def recommend picking up your copy today! Oh and another important thing to do when you are working out and creating goals for yourself is REWARDS! (MAMA LIKEY!)
I decided the best way to reward myself is to go straight to the fridge.....
*Insert cricket chirps here*. I kid, I kid- CLOTHES! Express is/was having a killa' sale and since my new job is casual (think jeans, flats, cutsie stops with cutsie jewelery), I needed to get me some more clothes. I ordered them last week and yesterday they came and they look great! Not to sound conceited, but I'm really liking how my arms look in these tops! I have definition that shows I'm a lifter (boo-ya!)I wish I could post pics of them, but thanks to women everywhere stimulating our economy, they don't have anymore of the tops I got on their website, but I'll try and take some pics of me in my tops tonight.

Have a lovely hump day lovelies!

Refresh

So I've been looking at my work clothes lately and I think I need to refresh a bit. Like not buy a totally new wardrobe, but I can tell I've gotten comfortable wearing the same things that are too comfortable rather than keep a polished look. Especially since I've lost weight (and hopefully I'll keep losing), my paints get loose. Like these one black high-waisted sailor looking pants I Have are super cute, but waaaay to baggy now since I've lost weight. Since I mentioned it, I wanna give a shout out to sparkpeople. Not gonna tell you about it cause you have to go there yourself, but I will say that if you want to lose weight or just want to live healthier, go there immediately. My problem is, is that I will wear a certain pair of pants or shoes until they die, and before they completely die, they look unprofessional from all the wear and tear. So, I'm want to get a few things to revamp my style a bit for work. Get a couple new blouses and maybe a dress and/or carpi's for work. I got a couple new pairs of shoes cause I was wearing the same ol' shoes over and over and the seams were all coming undone and it was majorly embarrassing, but not anymore. Check out the new additions :)

Aren't they cute?! I had a pair of black pointy toe pumps that I'm starting to break in too, but have been too afraid cause I'm a baby about my feet hurting. Back onto clothes. I'm a Forever 21 whore! I admit it, I love the store. I'm 22 and until I can no longer fit (please God make it never!) in clothes at F21, I will shop there. GREAT prices and great clothes. I do want to get a couple tops there for work and such cause they have amazing deals and they are still age appropriate while still being "business casual". Any suggestions for on a budget, but still age appropriate/business casual wardrobe? Suggestions please :)
