Of Course!

I miss my longer hair, WAAAAH! I like having something different, but seriously, I miss the length. I was just browsing my current LEGAL addiction, Pinterest, and what do I come across? How to curl your hair with a sock! A SOCK! Sounds crazy, right? Check out the how to video

I have looked at a bunch of other videos and pictures, and this shizz is legit. I have envied women's hair who can have those beautiful curls, since I can't remember. I have never been a hair curler master. Ive maybe curled my hair successfully and had the curls stay all day maybe 4 times in my whole life! No joke. I said on one of my last posts, that I have figured out how to curl my hair with the straightener, so I plan on really perfecting that since I feel like I have some sort of grasp on it.

My hair needs to grow out ASAP, check out these curls from a sock! Anyone ever try this?

Oh My Gosh, is that Jen Aniston?!

Would have posted this picture yesterday, but our internet was down pretty much all day - the perks of living out in the sticks, eh?

Here is the picture I showed my hair girl for the cut

I'd say it's pretty accurate. My hair feels UH-MAZING by the way. So soft at the ends. And I love that I can still throw it up in a pony tail. I am loving the color too. Its a little more blonder than I normally go cause she added a lot more highlights. I can't wait to play around with it and try curling it. Whenever the little man actually gives me time to be by myself (myself? what's that?!), I'll try adding some cute curls to it.

Today it's back to the workout/run grind. Since Nick's mom and her fiancé have been in town, I haven't worked out. So, before they leave to go back to Denver today, their coming over and watching T while I go out on a run. I have decided that I am going to sign up for the local Turkey Trot here in town this year. It's only a 5K and running 5ks now, aren't as easy as they once were. So I figure if I sign up for one that is a couple months away, that'll be more than plenty of time to prepare and it will force me to get back into more running - which I love (but sometimes hate) to do.

Oh and yes, I did just type that Thanksgiving is only a couple months away. ACTUALLY, since it's almost the end of September, we really only have about a month and a half until Turkey day. Makes me hungry just thinking about it. I'll sign myself up to run a 3.1 distance if that means I can eat an extra slice of pie. Shoot, who am I kidding? I'll eat it even if I don't run.

31 weeks & why the heck didn't I grab a S'bucks!?

{oh how I wished I had stopped and gotten you--the coffee and scarf haha}

HAPPY FRIDAY!! I cannot stress this enough. I am SO ready for this weekend. I have 2 Victoria Secret coupons for free panties they need to be used, I am running to my favorite getaway, Target, to grab this lamp

to match the big lamp we have for Troy's room

Then of course I'm getting my heeer did. My roots are showing and it's no bueno. I want to walk away with hair color like the gorgeous Ms. Carrie Underwood

{It should be a crime to look this gorgeous - SERIOUSLY}

Then it's off to get a few snap shots of the belly and a good shot of the mister and I for our Christmas cards! The rest of the weekend is open because my Bestie since I was 4 years old is in town and I wanna make sure I have open time for her.
So 31 weeks today folks! This party train is just move right along isn't it? Every week I am shocked at how far along I am. I am reading other blogs I follow and their about to deliver or have delivered and it brings those anxious butterflies you get right before your about to get on a roller coaster. So let's get down to the niggty gritty shall we?

How far along? 31 weeks, which means 6 more till I'm full term which also means 6 weeks till Christmas Eve -- I have so much shopping to do, EEEK!

Baby's size? This past week the doctor said her best guess by feeling and measuring is the T man weighs about 3.5-4lbs already. Yowza!

Weight Gain? 22.5lbs. To my surprise, I actually lost a pound last appointment. I was concerned about this as I HAVE NOT been starving myself (I hate women who do that, it's the most selfish thing), and she said since I "gained so much weight last time" (she had to bring that up!), that losing 1 lb is totally fine.

Stretch marks? No and I keep hydrating. Trust me, I will throw a fit for all to hear and see if I see one pop up on my belly. I have a couple on my hips from losing weight/gaining weight when I was younger, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Belly button in or out? It's coming out to play haha! I give it to my baby shower to be a total outie. I have a deep innie normally, so it's actually really fun and cool to see.

Sleep? Again, this does not apply as I do not know what sleep is. My body is shocking the heck outta me though - I am a 'have to have 8 hours of sleep' kinda girl, but for about a month or so now, I am fine with 5-6 hours. Sure I'm tired as heck at first, but after about 5 minutes, I'm wide awake

Foods I am loving? This past week I had more of a sweet craving than normal. After my breakfast, I was ready for the rest of the day to be all sweets. I'm talking butterfingers, my dark chocolate Reese's pb cups, and snickers. I could live off of those. Oh and sparkling apple cider

Foods I am hating? This week I noticed I can't eat a lot of chicken. I didn't like it in the beginning of pregnancy, but now I can handle it, just not that much.

Best moment this week? The stork tour (aka the labor and delivery tour!). Even though it made me so nervous and made everything 'real' and not just playing house, I loved it.

Movement? Constant. I love it! He rolls and tumbles all day long. I wanna know what he's doing so bad! I wish I got more ultrasounds in my pregnancy, but I only get 2 and I've had them already. I'm dying to know what he looks like and what he does all day.

Symptoms? Other than my strong urge to murder a bag of butterfingers when I was in CVS the other day? Some back pain and that's about it

Gender? Still my little man

What I miss? RUNNING!

What I will miss? Feeling him move. I have created a cozy home for him and I will miss carrying him like a little kangaroo haha

What I'm looking forward to? Baby shower and starting baby classes. Oh and Tgiving and Black Friday, oh and Christmas shopping w/a S'bucks in hand with my sister and mamacita, but those aren't baby related hehe

Weekly Wisdom: Pee before you leave the house or work. Even if you don't have to, do like your mom told you when you were little, and just try. I promise something will come out and more than you thought. As he gets bigger and heavier on your bladder, once you start moving, it's ridiculous how fast you'll have to go

Milestone: Going on the hospital tour

Emotions: NESTING! Oh my gosh, if our place isn't clean and vacuumed, it'll drive me nuts! Especially with all the leaves falling, it's so easy to track some of those colorful babies into the house.

Blondes have more fun

I was thrilled to get the okay from my OB to keep getting my hair done, I was SO excited. I think a lot of women can feel frumpy when they get pregnant and not as attractive. I have already experienced these moment of insecurities, but I got over them. So in my opinion, if you can make yourself feel better (I'm sure some of you will think it's vain), then I say do it.

I want to get all the way back to blonde. A really sexy blonde. My hair right now is brown underneath and blonde on top, so Im ready for a change. Here are some of my favorite blondes and shades of blonde I love! Now to pick which one...Im leaning towards Jessica Simpson, what do you all think?

SUNSHINE

N and I had an amazing ride/run! Come to find out, there seems to ALWAYS be something going on at our half way point. Last week there was a miniature/homemade boat race thing going on and today it was a rowing match (or whatever they are called). It as gorgeous out!!

So the total run today ladies and gents was a brisk 4.96 mile run/ride and since it seems my miles are upping the closer I get to my 10K, I need to start icing my knees and my ankles. I can definitely feel the wear and tear on the old body.

Oh and I have received a few emails re: how my hair turned out. Well....let's just say, I am getting used to it. I haven't been this blonde in a LONG time, so it's a shock to see my mug in the mirror with blonde hair framing my face. That's the other issue I have with it right now....I kinda sorta only put it on my long bangs around my face and pretty much on the hair that is visible when I put it in a ponytail. N thinks it looks fine, but I guess I'm way more critical on myself and I'm a tad nervous as to how the ladies at work are going to react to it. I had to do it twice cause it turned out orange in some spots and that was a no-go. I still feel like it has some brassy color to it and I put some of this Loreal shampoo on it, that says it'll tone up the blonde a bit, but I'm still thinking I'm gonna get this no brass kit I saw next to the hair dye. The first time I colored it yesterday, I almost pulled a Britney and shaved it off.

I think N was a little scared at how serious I was. There is something about a girls hair, that if the color is messed- we will freak the heck out! Just plain and simple. I had a bit of a panic attack, but when we met the Besties at dinner, Bon Bon assured me it looked fine. But since I know my lovely readers are honest as an American Idol panel, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK :) Any tips to take out the brass without frying it and not spending a bajillion $$?

Have an amazing rest of your weekend my honest loves!

Ahhh the weekend

Workout today consisted of a short, but QUICK 3.5 mile run with 20 minutes of strength training with legs and running crazy errands. I am sitting here with hairdye in my hair making myself more of a blonde :) What can I say, blondes have more fun :) I have 15 minutes left with the stuff on and then it's time to FINALLY shower! Haven't showered all day and I ladies and gents am smelling ripe!

N and I have date night with our favorite couple, Bestie Bon Bon and her hubby. It's mexican, mmmmm, and I plan on ordering a "Skinny Girl Margarita", and TRYING to be good ;)

Have a great Saturday night bloggies!

Beauty Giveaway!!

The lovely Jen has a giveaway on her blog! Look at the great stuff she is giving away:

You can visit her blog at http://www.just-jens-blog.blogspot.com . Her blog is one of my favorites to watch.

Speaking of beautifying things, it is after Labor Day which means summer is coming to an end, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! I do love summer, but I love Fall and Winter even more. I LOVE wearing cozy sweaters and jeans and boots and having that hot mocha or hot apple cider. Plus Christmas is my favorite holiday. I just love the decorations and putting up the Christmas tree. Just the whole ritual of everything makes me happy and more jolly. The hard work of trying to burn off what I am taking in, not so much. In the spirit of it starting to cool off and transition into Fall at the end of this month, I have decided to go back brunette with my hair. Last winter and I did brown and at first it freaked me out cause I've never been anything, but Playboy bunny blonde. However N loved it (it was like another woman w/out the cheating, ha ha) and it grew on me. I always felt that I needed another color in my hair though. So this past weekend when I was with Bestie since 4 years old, she helped me with that dilema. I have decided to go black on the underneath part of my hair and dark chocolate brown on the top. Right now its blonde ontop and brown underneath and I LOVE the 2 tone look + it solves my dilema with needing more than 1 color in my hair. Oh and also, my hair will get a break from the blonde fried-ness. I totally fried my hair a few months ago when I tried to bleach my roots TWICE IN 2 DAYS and it fried off some hair. I don't have a bald spot or anything, its just too short of a layer now on top. Since I WAS unemployed(cause I am NOT anymore haha!!), I just throw it up in a jaw clippy thing after the shower and let it air dry and I don't dry it out with a hair dryer and straightner. My friend who is a hair dresser and who is actually going to do my hair for me this fall, recommended this product to me called K Pak and its by Joico. Its like a deep conditioner that she recommends I use 2x a week. It has protein and will love my hair long time.

Do you guys have a special hair regimen that you like? I need something to help nurish my hair and help it grow! I am already taking prenatals, and its helped a tad.

This means I get to take a trip to my favorite beauty store, Ulta!! I need to get more shampoo anyways and they have crest whitening strips cheaper there than Target. Gotta have that peertty smile for my new job :)
