Blogger Love

Morning loves!

So have you girls checked out Ms. Amber's bloggy poo?
If you haven't, you must. She has the sweetest little red head you've ever laid eyes on, and her baby girl has the yummiest cheeks. If that doesn't blow your skirt up, definitely check her our for laughs as she is so hilarious and is a fellow Real Housewives lova', so she is golden in my book.

You may remember this post where I bragged on how Amb's and I would be getting our samples of ThinShots courtesy of Ms. Dana Wilkey - one of the hot and gorgeous messes from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Dana created this little magic potion after she had her baby to help her not only shed that baby weight, but also to give her the energy she needed to function.
Well, Amber was the lucky one and Miss Wilkey gifted her with samples to review. Being one who never likes to feel left out, Amber sent me my own sample pack to try out & I got it today.

Here is what Amazon had to say about ThinShots:

"Thin Shot is a 2 ounce liquid that is the first Diet Accessory. It was personally developed by Dana Wilkey while on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo and allowed her to lose her last 15 pounds following her pregnancy and feel great doing it. The liquid shot is made of vitamins like B6, B12, D, Folic and some caffeine from tea (see label for full breakdown). Some of the reported results from taking the shot are weight loss, happiness booster, energy enhancer, focus and improved hair, skin and nails. Also many users report that it does not make them feel speedy, which has been a complaint on other energy shots. The shot can be used as an appetite suppressant, work out booster, work motivator, focus enhancer, hangover cure and part of a daily vitamin routine. Recommended dose is one to two bottles a day in the morning and late afternoon. As with all Diet products you should check with a doctor before taking especially if on medication. The product will last up to 2 years if unopened. How do use your Thin Shot? Let us know at info@thinshot.com and we may post or promote it."

*Side note* When I looked ThinShots up on Amazon, I found this. Apparently, these two go hand in hand?

Amber has reviewed the product which you can read here. I will be giving my own review in about a week or so, so I can give it a fair review. Im really hoping I can see some results, even if its just more energy. The early morning weekday workouts are taking all my energy out. By the weekend, all I want to do is nap, and thankfully I have a husband who is happy to oblige with that & he watches T Rex.

Top of the Mornin' to Ya'

'Ello loves!

Happy Friday and cheers to the 3 day weekend, am I right? As of right now, Nick doesn't 100% have the day off that he knows of. He is currently working in a department that does some pretty important things (*totes bragging on my man here*), so they might need him on Monday.

So as most of my long time followers know, my anniversary is February 14th (Valentines day). Well last night I asked Nick if he wanted to go to the Bill Engval show up in Reno next weekend for a little mini 1 night getaway. He said no, but not to worry, he has something up his sleeve for our anniversary. Well this had me intrigued and as someone who fixates on what surprises could be, I had to have him at least tell me a few things: Yes, it's somewhere we get on a plane to go, and Yes, its w/out Troy (Are you reading this mom? Nick will, if he hasn't already, be asking for you to watch your favorite little Grandson for a couple days in about 1 year). I also know that Nick has already talked to travel agents that his company provides free of charge and has told them what he's looking for, so it's all in their hands now.

It hasn't even been 24 hours since he told me this, and I can't help, but wonder where it is and what we'll be doing. I would be happy with anywhere! BUT....ladies...I am someone who always does things in the extreme. Everything is black and white for me. There is no in between. So, I can't help, but think about a few extravagant getaways:

Italy?
Bora Bora?
Hawaii - this could actually be a possibility since neither of us have ever been
Back (for me) to London? Where I left my heart in 2005.
Greece?

What to Expect When...

...it's mommies night out
Where the theater is located, is mercedes central. So Jenni and I who drive Toyotas or GNC's, had to take a pic by the puurdiest Mercedes

Bathroom pics are a must on girls night

I went with a bunch of my girlfriends in my local mommy group to dinner & drinks and to see What to Expect when you're Expecting. If you haven't heard about the movie, you can see the trailer below:

I'd give it 5.5 or 6 out of 10 stars. It was ok, had some funny parts, so I gave it an average rating. TONS of well known people in the cast. Do y'all notice how all chick flicks lately are doing that? They put a ton of well known people in it and somehow make their lives connect with each other. JLo looked gorgeous as usual. Seriously, how does she do that? Always looking all perfect and stuff. I really need to step up my game on that. Nick sure as heck wouldn't have liked it, and I had to give that sympathetic look to the men I did see there. You know their wives dragged them there. Although, this one hippy looking dude was there with his lady, and he was cracking up the entire time. What do you ladies think, anyone seen it?

The Most Talked About Girl...

Girls! What did you think about our lady, Miss Emily Maynard's Bachelorette premiere last night? Lucky for me, the Nickmesiter had homework to work on late, and since The Bachelorette didn't start until 9:30PST, it was game on.

Honestly, Im not too crazy about any of the guys. I feel so suspect of them all. Like none of them can be good enough for my Emily, ya know? I have a sneaky suspicion that the race car driver, Arie, is going to go far. Oh, and did y'all stick around to see previews for the season?! It looks like some dude calls Emily's 6 year old daughter, Ricki, "baggage". Which in a way I guess she could be considered that, but lets face it - that ain't cool to say outloud, let alone outloud to 20 other guys who would love nothing more than to throw your butt out of the house.
Emily, as always looked gorgeous. I loved the red skinnies she was rockin in the opening. And did y'all see how Botox'd smooth her forehead looked? How dare she look so perfect and flawless, and in front of my husband who was totally eyeing her from behind the laptop doing his "homework".
Her dress she wore was absolutely gorgeous. Nick, who was "doing homework" (suuuuure), was all "it looks like she's naked". Pu-leeeease boyfraaan, I know you ain't complaining about that one. I don't think anyone was.
Looks like a juicy season, Im googling any spoilers I can find, cause Im someone who doesn't do well when I have to wait till the end :) Whats the saying my mom always says? "Patience is a virtue".

Wanna Know my Secret to Being in Shape?

Its called being at the gym at 4:30 in the morning aka dedication.

Normally I go when Nickmeister gets home from work, but since I'd rather spend time with him, I opted to go before he left for work. I did my lifting routine I had on the calendar for today, and then went to my boyfriend, Tread Mill. While watching Fox with Friends on the TV in front of me, I glanced at the TV to the left of me. An infomercial was on about this new weight loss product. According to the informercial, you don't have to exercise, you don't have to count calories, you don't have to cut out those juicy bacon cheeseburgers. Nope, all you gotta do is sprinkle this sugar looking substance on your favorite comfort fat filled meals and WOILA! You will drop those pesky 30lbs in no time. ...Seriously? Im not saying you have to be at the gym at 4:30 in the morning to get fit or even healthy for that matter, but this is probably one of the most ridiculous weight loss products I've seen. Unless that white substance tastes like crap, I don't see how it'll make you eat less. My only guess is that its really cocaine your sprinkling on your pizza and you get so much energy that you go run up and down bleachers. Its no secret people, exercise and watch what you eat.

Guess Who's Back...

ME!!!! I've missed you guys almost as much as I'm missing my waist. Its true girls - that Five Guys, Velveeta Mac N Cheese, the 1,000,000 Hersey kisses during late night Rummikube games, the best Thai food in the Fayetteville area, the best Mexican in the Raleigh area...it REALLY did me in. Or did my ass in I should say. I had this fantasy that I would run at least twice during my stay in North Carolina and I only accomplished 1. I believe it was probably around 3.5 miles, but I give myself extra props because the humidity was on high that day. While we were there, that area reached a new temperate high for that time of year. The day before my run, it was 95 and then add the humidity in the mix and you got yourself your own personal sauna the minute you step out your door. Proof: sweat drenched hair
The trip itself was so much fun. For those of you that don't know, my sister has always been someone I looked up to when I was little. There is a 12 year difference between her and I, and when I was little I liked to pretend she was my mom. She was THAT cool. Then later in life, I used to go to her house basically every weekend and we'd go shopping, or get some Starbucks, or just run her errands. Always someone who I took seriously with their opinions and advice. So for her to move back to North Carolina, was a HUGE kick in the gut, but she is much happier, so it was for the best.
So basically my mom, T Rex and I stayed at home with my niecy poo (holy crap, when did SHE become 12?!)...
while my sister and her Soldier boyfriend, went to the EOD Ball. Its held for all Marines, Soldiers, Airman, Seamen who are in EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal - basically bomb disposal). They looked gorgeous all dressed up:

More trip pics
1. Mackenzie and Troy. Mackenzie belongs to CAPS. Google it :)
2. Goofing off with Nicks old Marine cover
3. My old workmates and some of my closest friends I've ever made
4. Only in Walmart. Some kid was saying, "HI! HI! HI!" Mackenzie and I knew we had to snap a pic
5. On the plane, no where to run!
6. My girls...and boy :)

I'm sure you are all chomping at the bit to hear how Troy did on the plane rides. How about this to keep it short: my mom didn't think he was THAT bad, I was mortified the 1st 5 hour flight with how he was acting. By acting I mean, kicking the seat in front of us, arching his back cause he didn't want to be held, crying, whining. He slept for maybe 1 hour during that flight, but the rest of the time, it was "I don't want to sit or watch my Dino Dan". Yup, it was THAT fun. Bottom line, I'm glad I won't have to fly again until August. Luckily its a barely 3 hour flight to Denver for my MIL's wedding. Then in November, we will be flying to Mexico - God have mercy on me. At least this is waiting for me:
Changing topics. My AMAZING, CARING, THOUGHTFUL, SEDUCTIVE hubby was busy at work while I was gone. Remember THIS post? Well, it happened.
And THIS happened.
Hallelujah, my house has had a major face lift. Seriously girls, its amazing what a new front door and new floors will do for a house. It updated it so much. An old lady lived here before and she and her husband were the builders of it, so it had that "older" feel to it with that carpet and linoleum, so this update was needed. This was my Mothers Day gift, and like my mom said, "How is Nick gonna top this with next year? He's set the bar pretty high now". I'm sure I can think of something else that needs updating...like my wardrobe?
